Khatti Machali Dish

 Khatti Machali Recipe
- 500 gms fish, cut into slices
- 2 tsp adrak-lasan paste
- 3 tomatoes, blanched and minced
- A handful of chopped kothmir
- A few curry patta leaves
- A lemon-sized imli, soaked (extract thin pulp)
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- ½ haldi
- 3 tbsp refined oil
- A few methi seeds
- Salt to taste
Apply adrak-lasan paste to the fish pieces along with chilli powder, haldi, salt to taste and set aside. Heat the oil and add the methi seeds and minced tomatoes. Keep frying till the oil separates. Add the fish pieces and fry for a few minutes, then add the tamarind water, curry patta and salt to taste. Simmer till fish is cooked. Take care the pieces do not break. Serve hot, garnished with chopped kothmir.
