Dum ka Gosht Dish

Dum ka Gosht Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 750 gms mutton, cut into pieces
  • 8 red chillies
  • 3 tsp khus khus, lightly roasted
  • 3 tsp chironji lightly roasted
  • 1” piece adrak
  • 12 flakes lasan
  • 4 onions, sliced fine and fried crisp
  • 4 green elaichi
  • 4 lavang
  • 2 pieces dalchini
  • A handful of kothmir, chopped
  • A handful of pudina, chopped
  • 8-10 almonds, blanched and chopped fine
  • 1 cup beaten curd
  • 6 green chillies, slit
  • Salt to taste

Method:

Grind the following to a fine paste: red chillies, khus khus, adrak and lasan.

To the mutton add the beaten curd, red chilli, masala, chopped kothmir, pudina, crushed fried onion and salt to taste.

Heat ghee, add the sabut masala and allow to splutter.

Pour this over the mutton, also adding the slit green chillies.

Pressure cook or cover tightly and cook till tender.

Then sprinkle chopped almonds.

Serve hot.
